UK refiners seek tariff-free access to oil products under Brexit scenario

London-UK refiners have urged the next government to target tariff- free access on petroleum products and key manufacturing supplies as part of the UK’s future relationship with the European Union. In an “energy manifesto” ahead of the December general election, the UK’s fuel lobby group said the UK downstream oil sector is facing increased competition from rivals in the EU and the rest of the world under default WTO tariff rules if Brexit goes ahead.
