UAE unfazed over threat of OPEC cuts curbing Murban output

Abu Dhabi-Murban crude production will not be impacted by the UAE’s compliance with OPEC oil cuts, the country’s energy minister said Tuesday, as Abu Dhabi prepares to launch a futures contract underpinned by the grade. The Intercontinental Exchange and state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., in partnership with nine energy companies, announced on Monday the launch of the ICE Futures Abu Dhabi exchange in the first half of next year in the biggest shakeup of Middle East energy pricing in years.
