The arrest of former Nissan Motorchairman Carlos Ghosn in Japan last weekcould impact vehicle sales and have a flowoneffect on the automaker’s 2,703 suppliers,Japanese research firm Teikoku Databank orTDB says in a report.Ghosn’s arrest last Monday for allegedfinancial misconduct after weeks ofspeculation was expected to result in morenegative brand association and harmvehicle sales, TDB said. “If Nissan car salesdecline, Nissan’s supply chain, including the2,703 suppliers, will be affected,” TDB saidin the report.
