Asia ferrosilicon prices rangebound amid summer holiday lull

S&P Global Platts assessed the Japanese import price for 75% grade ferrosilicon on Aug. 11 at $960-$980/mt CIF Japan, unchanged from the week of Aug. 3-7. The Chinese 75% Si ferrosilicon export price also stood stable at $1,000-$1,030/mt FOB China in the week starting Aug. 9. Spot trade was thin amid the seasonal summer lull, especially in Japan, where many traders were on holidays, sources said. No trades were reported done to Japan.
