Tongling sees China’s H2 copper, aluminum scrap imports falling

Chinese imports of copper scrap and aluminum scrap in the second half of this year are forecast to fall further due to the government’s import license system for metal scrap, Chinese copper producer Tongling Nonferrous Metals said in its copper report Friday. Starting July 1, category 6 copper scrap will be changed from non-restricted solid waste imports to restricted imports, therefore requiring import licenses.
