LyondellBasell Begins Production in Dalian At New 20.000-T/Y PP Compounding Unit

Dalian— LyondellBasell has successfully started up a new 20,000-t/y polypropylene (PP) compounding plant in Dalian, China. Cost of the project was not given. "With China's automobile market poised for significant growth over the next several years, this facility allows us to better serve our customers, reduce shipping time and logistics costs, while delivering a strong return for shareholders," noted Chief Executive Bob Patel.
