Singapore—Taiwan’s leading electric arc furnace steelmaker, Feng Hsin Iron and Steel, kept its bid for domestic scrap unchanged yet again for the week of Sept. 7, but cited that upticks can be expected if the buying trend in Taiwan remains focused on domestic material, a company source said.The company’s bid for local HMS I/II 80:20 was unchanged since Aug. 24 at T$8,200/mt ($280/mt), for delivery to its Taichung mill.
