Exxon Mobil bounced back from a disappointing second quarter with strong production growth in the upstream and much higher reliability in its downstream units to post much-improved earnings. The US supermajor posted its highest cash flow since 2014, as higher commodity prices combined with stronger upstream production to boost its bottom line (OD Oct.30'18).
