Exxon, Petrobras Form Strategic Alliance

Brazil's state-owned oil company Petrobras has signed a strategic alliance with US supermajor Exxon Mobil, which it said could extend to opportunities in exploration, production, natural gas and petrochemicals inside and outside of Brazil. In September, the companies teamed up to bid on several offshore blocks in the Brazil's massive offshore presalt formation, paying big money for assets during the country's 14th Bid Round (OD Sep.28'17).
