Crude Little Moved by Syrian Airstrikes

Despite the expectations of many market watchers, the launching of a targeted strike by the US on Syria did not serve as a catalyst to drive crude prices much higher on Friday. Dozens of Tomahawk missiles fired from US Navy vessels in the Mediterranean struck a Syrian airfield late Thursday in what President Donald Trump described as a necessary move to halt Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons and to preserve the safety of Americans.
