Hess: Guyana’s Liza Phase 1 to Peak in June

US independent Hess and its partners at the Liza Phase 1 development offshore Guyana now expect oil production to reach 120,000 b/d in June, up from just 75,000 b/d in April. However, the pace of development in the Stabroek Block has slowed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hess’ net production from the Liza field averaged 15,000 b/d in the first quarter, and the company sold its first 1 million bbl cargo of allocated oil in March.
