COVID-19 put the brakes on mineral exploration and production plans in Canada's Yukon earlier this year, but the gradual easing of travel restrictions and the implementation of preventative health protocols have seen the industry play catch up with projected activity, says deputy premier Ranj Pillai. "Everybody thought there was going to be a pretty significant decrease in activity this year, but we're now catching up to what we thought we were going to see. That's exciting," Pillai said during the 2020 Precious Metals Summit.
