Brazil: Tight granular MOP supply persists

Granular MOP spot prices in Brazil were assessed stable at an indicative $270-280/mt CFR, though market participants once again reported unconfirmed sales above these levels as supply remained tight. Uralkali said it made two sales of unspecified quantities of granular MOP on September 27, the first at $280/mt CFR and the second at $285/mt CFR for October shipment to Brazil, but the buyers were not disclosed. Buyers are no longer able to secure volumes below $280/mt CFR, according to Uralkali.
