South Korea imported 45,496 mt MOP in January, a 47% decrease from January 2016 and a 30% decrease from the same month of 2015. Arrivals from Canpotex dropped to 30,296 mt from 76,688 mt in January 2016. Volumes from the US, which are likely re-exports of product sourced from Canada, added to 15,023 mt. This marked the first shipment from the US since May 2006, when 10,000 mt MOP were loaded, according to trade data.
