While all the ammonia spot action was in Yuzhnyy this week, much of the bullish talk came from the US. Higher ammonia prices are steadily emerging in the US. This week Midwest prices rose about $20/st, followed by a corresponding increase at New Orleans. Prompt of fers from producers are still about $60/st below pre-pay prices for March 2021 forward. Anecdotal reports from some suppliers and distributors consistently indicate the extended fall application window has reduced the previous domestic supply overhang.
