Spot prices for sulphuric acid cargoes to Chile were again assessed unchanged on an indicative basis at $30-40/t CFR amid a dearth of demand. The last reported spot sales were concluded in the low $60s/t CFR earlier this year, and buyers in March already reported receiving offers as low as the $30s/t CFR before global prices had plunged to their current levels. Some sources pegged indicative prices as low as the mid-$20s/t CFR.
