The rally went from strength to strength this week with aseries of price increases raising expectations of asignificant hike in the October contract price settlement forTampa currently under negotiation. With Tampa at $590/mtCFR in September and Yuzhnyy at around $590/mt FOB,the US buyers may have to accept a rise of up to $80/mt inorder to compete for FSU material. They are caughtbetween tight supply, caused by ammonia production cutsin Trinidad, and demand due to the approaching directapplication season and firm DAP output.
