Siemens hails huge CCGT order as Brazilian LNG-to-power scheme secures cash

Gas Natural Acu (GNA) - the Brazilian joint venture between Siemens and BP - has concluded financing arrangements for phase one of its USD 1.1 billion integrated LNG-to-power project in Rio de Janeiro state, giving Siemens the all clear to begin construction on the 1.3 GW power plant. GNA secured a 15-year USD 288 million loan for the first phase (GNA I) from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, the JV announced on Wednesday.
