Norway Sees Record Gas Exports to Europe

Norway exported 117.4 Bcm of natural gas to its customers in Europe in 2017, up 8% year on year and the highest level in four decades of Norwegian gas exports, grid operator Gassco said. The volumes represented about a quarter of Europe’s annual gas consumption, according to Gassco Chief Executive Frode Leversund. "This performance demonstrates the key role played in European energy supply by Norway’s gas exports,” he said.
