China' s imports of Venezuelan crude have plunged to zero while its imports of Iranian crude have also sunk to a new low - a sign that US sanctions are severely crimping the flow of crude from the two beleaguered producers to the world' s biggest crude importer. On the other hand, Chinese imports of Malaysian crude remain unusually high, suggesting that Venezuelan and Iranian crude are still finding their way into China, although under a different flag (PIW Aug.16' 19).
