Shareholders in the giant Nabucco gas pipeline may band together to negotiate supplies for the route, which could carry up to 31 billion cubic meters per year (2.9 billion cubic feet per day) of Caspian and Mideast gas to Europe via Turkey. “We could join forces on the buying side to reduce complexity to make things happen,” said Werner Auli, the boss of gas at Austria's OMV, which leads the Nabuc- co project. “We are considering this to speed up the process.”
