INTERVIEW: Anellotech targets chemical recycling of waste plastics in 2-3 years - CEO

NEW YORK (ICIS)--US-based process technology company Anellotech aims to get its Plas-TCat system of recycling waste plastics into olefins and aromatics ready for commercialisation in two to three years, its CEO said. The company’s Plas-TCat process technology is geared towards converting large volumes of mixed waste plastics directly into olefins and aromatics by feeding the material into a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) reactor. The process is essentially pyrolysis with a catalyst in a fluid bed reactor.
