Miller ally leaves Gazprom

Changes to senior management at Gazprom are continuing, with domestic trading subsidiary Mezhregiongaz’s general director, Kirill Seleznev - a long-term ally of chief executive Alexei Miller - the latest to leave the frm. Seleznev will head RusKhimAlyans, a 50:50 joint-venture between Gazprom and private-sector company RusGasDobycha that is developing and then operating a planned 13mn t/yr LNG plant at Ust-Luga on Russia’s Baltic Sea coast. Seleznev is also a member of Gazprom’s management committee, but the board is yet to decide whether he will retain this position. Gazprom decided to go ahead with the LNG project late last month - it had originally discussed developing the Bal- tic LNG plant at Ust-Luga with Shell.
