Sekisui Plastics to Acquire PS Paper Business from Kaneka

Sekisui Plastics and Kaneka Corp. have concluded a basic agreement for Sekisui to take over the polystyrene-paper business of Sunpolymer Corp., a fully owned subsidiary of Kaneka. Details, including transfer price, are to be worked out, with the plan to complete the transfer by the end of January 2009, after review and approval by the Japan Fair Trade Commission.
