Pharmacists' development in primary care to be championed by RPS Faculty

AT AN Independent Pharmacy Federation meeting recently, we posed the following question: "What is one of the single biggest opportunities for independent contractors in the new NHS?" Most responses were about clinical issues: we need to reskill as clinicians, to focus on long-term conditions so we can work closer with patients and GPs, to support GPs and parents with children's medicines, to review the potential for specialism, and to set up warfarin clinics, travel clinics and healthy living pharmacies.
