Pharmacy leaders and commissioners continue set on using the carrot-and-stick method to push the pharmacy services agenda without much consideration for how little they have done to market and advertise these services. The target users of these services — patients and customers — have little knowledge of what is available and thus cannot request it. In these tough economic times, it is not surprising that commissioners make no effort to push the services because this saves them money.
