EVEROLIMUS has been approved for use in NHS Scotland for the treatment of a rare pancreatic cancer. Adults in Scotland with unresectable or metastatic differentiated neuroendocrine tumours of pancreatic origin whose disease is progressive now have the option of being treated with the drug, which is marketed by Novartis as Afinitor.
