A pharmacist convicted of the theft of nearly ￡25,000 from his employer has had his name removed from the Register by order of the Disciplinary Committee. At a hearing on 14 September 2009, the committee heard that Mark Anthony Leah, of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, had appeared at West Suffolk magistrates' court on 22 May 2008, where he had pleaded guilty to the theft of ￡24,746.22 belonging to Woolpit Health Centre, and was committed to Ipswich Crown Court for sentence. There, he was handed a suspended 12-month prison sentence coupled with a two-year supervision order, and ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
