Qualifications and experience needed to become a responsible pharmacist

Enabling pharmacies to operate without the presence of a responsible pharmacist is the most controversial aspect of changes outlined in the Health Act 2006 and is due to be introduced by legislation in early 2009.The Government ultimately expects that the responsible pharmacist should be able to leave the pharmacy to operate without a pharmacist but,in the short term,a second pharmacist will be needed to supervise transactions.
