Thyroid-like follicular carcinoma of the kidney

Thyroid-like follicular carcinoma is a rare histolog-ical variant of renal cell carcinoma that is not included in the most recent World Health Organization classification. The first case was reported in 20061 and since then an additional 10 cases have been reported in the English literature. Synonyms for this tumor include thyroid follicular carcinoma-like tumor of the kidney1 and thyroid follicular carcinoma-like renal tumor.
