To the Editor: Can we tell from this study which option for castration (medical vs surgical) is superior for achieving lower levels of serum testosterone, or which option delivers superior clinical outcomes? This study has several important, yet not discussed, limitations.First, 20 of the 34 men in the study underwent subcapsular bilateral orchiectomy, which has the potential to leave Leydig cells and seminiferous tissue behind. How can the authors ensure that this is not a confounding factor in their analysis?
