#gamma#,#gamma#-Difluoro-#alpha#,#beta#-enoates are reduced with organocopper reagents to afford the corresponding #gamma#-fluoro-#beta#,#gamma-enoates.This organocopper-mediated reduction was applied ot the synthesis of (Z)-fluoroalkene dipeptide isosteres.
