China adds 1.15 million b/d of crude to stocks in May

Singapore-China’s crude oil stocks rose by 1.15 million b/d in May due to lower consumption during the month amid relatively stable supply, S&P Global Platts calculations based on latest official data showed Tuesday. A stock build was also seen in April, when inventories rose by 1.02 million b/d. Meanwhile, the May 2016 stock build was in contrast to the 697,000 b/d stock draw in the same month last year.
