摘要

Kenya has agreed to acquire 2.5% stake in Uganda’s proposed crude oil refinery for an estimated Kenyan Shillings 5.5 billion ($62.2 million), according to Kenyan energy and petroleum permanent secretary Joseph Njoroge. The Ugandan government was meant to announce the winning bidder to build the 60,000 b/d refinery last month, but then the two remaining candidates—Russia’s RT Resources and South Korea’s SK Energy—asked for a new incentive package to be put in place before they would commit to the project.
