Ireland launches review of oil tax regime

London-Ireland has hired consultants Wood Mackenzie to review Dublin's oil and gas tax regime as interest in the country's emerging offshore oil potential heats up in the wake of its first commercial oil find. The consultants are to determine if the country's fiscal regime for oil and gas exploration is "fit for purpose" ahead of the country's next offshore licensing round in June this year.
