Poland’s PGNiG sees loss widen on gas import price

Warsaw—Poland’s state-controlled PGNiG August 23 blamed the high cost of natural gas imports for its wider-than-expected, Zloty 314 million ($96.9 million) net loss in the second quarter. This compares with the Zloty 19.7 million net loss the company recorded a year earlier and was substantially below the market consensus of a Zloty 1 million loss.
