Inpex, Total secure buyers for all Ichthys LNG output

Tokyo-Japan's Inpex Corporation has secured offtake agreements covering all of the 8.4 million mt/year of LNG to be produced at its two-train Ichthys project in Darwin, northern Australia, a senior company official said June 24. Inpex and its partner in Ichthys, Total, will each lift 900,000 mt/year of LNG from the project, but the French major has agreed to provide 200,000 mt/year of its volume to Inpex. Ichthys is owned 76% by Inpex and 24% by Total.
