Kampala-Uganda's ruling party, the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has voted to approve the $2.9 billion sale by UK-based Tullow Oil of stakes in its Ugandan oil fields to France's Total and China's CNOOC, an NRM official said October 23. that comes despite an October 11 resolution by the coun try's Parliament to withhold approval until a tax dispute is resolved.
