Santos to supply Cooper gas to Gladstone

Sydney-Australian exploration and production company Santos has agreed to supply 750 PJ (about 750 Bcf) of conventional gas to the Gladstone LNG project it is developing with partners Petronas and Total, the company said in a statement October 25. The gas would be delivered from Santos’ eastern Australian portfolio, primarily from existing uncontracted proven and probable reserves in the onshore Cooper Basin. The supplies are set to begin in 2014 and continue for 15 years, subject to a final investment decision being made on GLNG train two.
