InterOil says new PNG gas well confirms LNG potential

London-The US' InterOil said December 1 the second appraisal well on its Antelope gas field and LNG development in Papua New Guinea flowed at a total of 129,000 b/d of oil equivalent of gas and condensate, confirming a productive capacity of over 1.2 Bcf/d from the field. The Antelope 2 well flowed at 705,000 Mcf/d of gas and 11,200 b/d of condensate, the company said. In March, InterOil saw a flow rate of 382,000 Mcf/d of gas with 5,000 b/d of condensate from its Antelope-1 well.
