Chesapeake cuts gas output

Washington-US independent producer Chesapeake Energy said April 16 it will reduce its natural gas output another 200,000 Mcf/d because of low wellhead prices.The Oklahoma City-based company said the production cuts are in addition to the 200,000 Mcf/d in curtailments it announced on March 2. The company, however, said it has resumed production of about 7,000 b/d of crude output it had earlier shut in.
