Dragon Oil posts 28% jump in Turkmenistan output in 2008

Dubai-Dubai-based upstream junior Dragon Oil saw its gross oil production from the offshore Cheleken Contract Area in Turkmenistan reach 15 million barrels in 2008, up 28% from the 11.7 million barrels produced in 2007, the company said January 20. The total worked out to average output of 40,992 b/d in 2008 compared with the 2007 average of 31,997 b/d, and the company said its production at the end of the year had reached 45,600 b/d.
