Hong Kong-Saudi Arabia remained China's top crude supplier in 2008 as the Asian country processed 36.37 million mt (730,182 b/d) of crude from the Middle East producer, an increase of 38.1% over 2007, figures obtained January 23 from the Chinese General Administration of Customs showed.Saudi Arabia has held the top slot since 2002, when it supplied 11.39 million mt of crude to China, or 16.41% of the country's total crude imports that year.
