Petrobras buys ExxonMobil Chilean downstream assets

New York—Brazil’s Petrobras said August 8 it has signed a deal to acquire ExxonMobil’s stakes in Esso’s fuels distribution business in Chile for 400 million.The deal, which covers the retail, industrial and aviation markets, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2009, Petrobras said in a statement.
