Lagos-Nigeria is losing its fight against militants and criminals in its oil producing Niger Delta after repeated sabotage of pipelines has forced several operators in recent weeks to declare force majeure on oil exports, wiping out nearly 1 million b/d. State-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation said December 1 that Italy's Eni had been the latest target of the "oil war" in the Niger Delta after one of its pipelines was sabotaged, forcing it to free itself from supply obligations from the Brass terminal.
