Houston-Mixed reports on damage to offshore E&P assets began filtering in Aug 31 as operators made erratic headway reaching facilities vulnerable to Hurricane Katrina,but pipeline access emerged as the big question mark for timing a recovery.Disruption of offshore pipeline connections ranked as a key hurdle last year when subsea mudslides from Hurricane Ivan separated many lines from otherwise stable platforms in the Gulf of Mexico(ON 11/22/04).But operators said it still will be days before they can adequately assess the level of offshore pipeline damage from Katrina.
