Tankers: East of Suez VLCCs slightly down

East of Suez VLCC market Tuesday eased down slightly with charterers taking it a little bit easy on covering their September cargoes. For a second day in succession, low activity level was reported out of the Persian Gulf. "Today [Tuesday] September cargoes could be coming out," a source with a Far Eastern refiner said, adding that so far 10 September cargoes have been covered. "The actual August fixture number is not much. There are plenty of vessels in the market. It seems that no one is in a hurry to fix vessels."
