The North Sea market firmed sharply at the close ahead of the expiry of the June Brent contract on the IPE.The forward 23-27 CFD week was bid by Statoil at July-105 cts compared to Friday's assessment at July-125 cts.The June/July spread closed at minus 80 cts compared to minus 85 cts Friday at 17:30,but the spread between Brent/WTI widened between 25-30 cents.During the day,a June 6-8 Brent cargo was released into the chains and then kept by BP,and Sempra sold a July cash BFO to BP at 48.93.ENI confirmed both the May 27 and June 4 Ekofisk cargoes available.
