In early 2010, China's central government set key targets for the economy, with the emphasis on promoting a stable but rapid economic expansion, while keeping inflation under control. This is in addition to maintaining a proactive fiscal policy and a moderately loose economic policy. Already, during the second quarter of this year China surpassed Japan as the world's second largest economy.
