Williams Ousts Six Directors

The carnage from the collapse of the failed Energy Transfer Equity-Williams merger has begun, with six Williams directors resigning, apparently under pressure from senior management and other board members (OD Jun.30'16). The directors involved were the key backers of the merger. Among them was independent Chairman Frank MacInnis. The ousted directors had unsuccessfully attempted to unseat Williams Chief Executive Alan Armstrong.
